Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Welnova mobile application (the “App”), operated by Gokmen Akar (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Welnova. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement.

The service — wellness, not medical advice

Welnova is a personal wellness and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The insights, scores, and suggestions in the App are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your health, and never disregard professional advice because of something in the App. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services.

Any insights, scores, or estimates in the App describe patterns in the data you log — they are observations, not causes, predictions of a medical outcome, or a measurement of your health. Where an insight is generated by AI, it is labeled as such. Estimates such as a projected cycle date are for awareness only and are not a diagnosis or a form of birth control.

Accounts and guest mode

You may use Welnova as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for the activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You may delete your account at any time from within the App. You also control how your data is processed through the consent switches in Settings > Data & Privacy, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions and purchases

Welnova offers an optional premium subscription (Welnova Premium) with monthly and yearly auto-renewing plans, and may offer a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account, subject to Apple’s terms.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You manage or cancel subscriptions in your device’s Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  • Prices are shown in the App and may vary by region and over time. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
  • Interfere with another user’s use of the App.

Intellectual property

The App, including its design, content, and trademarks, is owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the App for your own wellness. The content you create (your entries) remains yours.

AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence. If you use AI meal scanning, the photo you choose to scan is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to estimate the food and its nutrition; it is used only to return that estimate. Welnova’s wellness insights are generated on your device from data you have logged. All AI features are optional, you control them in Settings > Data & Privacy, and their output is an estimate for general wellbeing — not medical advice. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services (including Apple, Amazon Web Services, OpenAI, and Google Firebase) as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any insight is accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. On deletion, your account data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
